You want to help others?

You want to profoundly help others or change the world but you don't know where to start or how to start? This post might interest you then!

Helping others

Nowadays, the tendency towards selfishness rather than giving, on helping ourselves rather than helping others.

Helping others can only take you few minutes of your day and your act of kindness can change the other's person life and even your own one. It can be something small, or the start of something big; not only this experience will connect you with another person (for a moment or for life), it makes the world a better place one little step at a time.

''How far that little candle throws his beams!
So shines a good deed in a weary world.''
William Shakespeare

Here is a small list to get you thinking of what you can do.  However, this list is not exhaustive and you can find thousand more ideas if you think about it, just a little.

1-Smile and be friendly: It is a simple act that can put a smile in someone else's face and make their day a little better.

2-Stop to help someone: The next time you see someone pulled over with a flat tire or in need of help, stop and ask how you can help.  Sometimes, all they need is a push or the use of your cell phone.

3-Take the time to teach someone: This could be teaching your co-worker a valuable computer skill, teaching your friend how to cook a recipe, teaching your child, little cousin, nephew,(etc.) to ride a bike, etc.

4-Comfort someone: Sometimes, a helpful hand, a kind word, a simple hug, a listening ear, will go a long way when someone has lost a loved one or during a bad time in their life.

5-Send a nice email: You don't need to write a long email; just a little note to tell someone how much you appreciate them, to thank them for something they've done or to tell them how much you are proud of them.

6-Offer to babysit: Sometimes parents need a break; and babysit their child once in a while can make a big difference to them.

7-Do a chore: Whether it is a small or big task, it can really help someone.

8-Be patient: Not everyone learn easily or understand something fast; learn to be patient with them.

9-Create a ''Care package'': Chocolate, coffee, tea, reading material, soup, cookie or anything the person might need or enjoy.  This is a great idea for someone who is sick or in need of a cheer up.

10-Love: Express your love to others...It can be to give a hug, say a kind word, be friendly, spend time with, show little kindness.

''Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others.
Unsuccessful people are always asking: ''What is it for me?''
Brian Tracy

And you? How do you plan on helping others? Or how do you actually help others?
